The ugliest chairs that you need to buy asap

Second, I HAVEN’T PACKED!

You know those face peels where it feels like your skin is rotting off your face Indiana Jones-style, but you grit through it because THIS IS THE PRICE OF BEAUTY? That’s how packing feels to me.

I will put that sucker off until the very last second because I hate it so much and then will make ridiculously, rash decisions while frantically screaming, “Why is there never any toothpaste in this house?!?!??!” and end up on vacation with three swimsuits and no underwear.

Also, WHY IS THERE NEVER ANY TOOTHPASTE IN THIS HOUSE?

Anyway, I’m keeping today short because it would be nice to not have to wear a swimsuit as undies this weekend. Also, I hope you have a wonderful, long weekend with people you love, doing things that fill you up.

Are you ready to fall in love with the UGLIEST CHAIR EVER?

One of my besties took me to these salt caves for my birthday, where you basically lay in the dark and breathe in the salt to cleanse your lungs, which is a style of healing I can get alllll on board with.

Because you’re lying there for a full hour, you definitely notice the comfort level of the chairs and these zero gravity chairs were ridiculously comfy. No kinks in my neck, no tossing and turning to get comfortable - the chair molded to my body and spooned me like Pedro Pascal on a third date.

But, they’re ugly. Like my Anthropologie outdoor chairs gasped in horror when I added them to the mix, which I told them to GET OVER because sometimes a mama needs a warm, chair hug.

👉 I heard Costco has them, but ours was out! Might be worth a try though?

The photos on my phone are out of control. I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I have over 65,000 pictures on it (cringe, sigh, OMG!).

Going through them is completely overwhelming, but it’s getting a teeny bit more manageable with this app, Picnic.

Basically, it pulls up a photo and you swipe to either keep it or trash it and it is fast! I can get through at least 100 photos in a couple of minutes. Plus, it shows you duplicates so can pick the best one.

I’m working to be on my phone less this summer so I committed to two things.

One, I always have a book with me so I can read while I’m waiting in line or at appointments, rather than mindlessly scrolling.

Two, I put out a puzzle so when I have a couple of extra minutes, I can pop a couple of pieces together.

It’s amazing how much my quality of life has shot up with just these two little shifts. And pro tip! I put out puzzles that the kids are into so they’ll sit for 10 - 15 minutes and work on it with me too. #bonding

Here are a couple I’ve bought:

• this one is a blast because it’s tricky, but doable (plus, it’s fun to try and figure out all the words!)

• Minecraft because IYKYK

• Taylor Swift because, omg, IYKYK

• This would be the best present

• And I haven’t tried this, but it’s a puzzle subscription where you do it and then send it back!

You know who has the best accounts on Instagram right now? Libraries.

It’s the kind of wholesome fun we all need right now, plus supporting your libraries? That’s a “Just Scored the New Thriller that Everyone’s Talking About” feeling.

Love this send up of Law and Order, this video made me cry a little, and an air guitar program? What can’t these libraries do!?

This one is a little niche, but if you live in Colorado (or anywhere with skiing), I feel like you’d appreciate these ski goggle-wearing musicians.

They’re made by a local artist and would be the ultimate piece for a mountain house or just a wall that needs some color and fun. SO GOOD!
