Total lie because I just thought of a bunch of reallllly bad ones, but it's still not good
There is perhaps nothing more terrifying than getting a text from your facialist with a before / after photo.
THAT’S WHAT I LOOK LIKE FROM THE SIDE?
How do people eat around me? How have I found love? Should I retire to my clock tower in Notre Dame now?!?!? But, also, my skin really does look so much better! It’s working!
Listen, I have a lot of self love. I’m a gorgeous person, inside and out, and often surprise myself with my hotness (I can’t say enough good things about a well-lit bathroom), and still no person should have to see a close up of their pores after the age of 45. 36. 24. Fine, 13.
But, sometimes you gotta go through the horror (THE HORROR!) to get to the glass skin that doesn’t look like it was baked on a tar roof for the entirety of the 90s. LET A MIDDLE AGED WOMAN DREAM, OKAY?
Which is pretty much what I’ve been doing with my business these past six months.
Working on all sorts of goodies for you, my dear friend, so that when I came back, you’d be SHOCKED - like shook to the bottom of your Sambas - with my freshness, verve, clarity. You’d think, “Man, that gal gave her business a makeover and now it absolutely glows.”
More likely, it’ll be like my face, where everyone’s like: “Huh, you look a little more awake” and then go on with their day.

Things I did today to avoid writing this newsletter:
took a deep dive into Matty Matheson life to discern whether he’s actually a chef or actor (wait for it, he’s…both!)
cleaned out the rubber ring in our garbage disposal that I didn’t even know existed until 15 minutes ago
researched easy dinners I could make tonight, even though I know we’re going out
made all the beds in the house, in case the Tidy Police stop by
took a shower (okay, I probably needed to do that one)
And then I remembered I had this download all about how to stop procrastination in its tracks so YES, I WENT IN AND INSPIRED MYSELF. I’m either a #livinglegend or should be sent to live with a volleyball named Wilson for a couple months to take it down a notch.
Either way, I did #2 Change Your Environment and took the dog for a quick walk and then #1 Start Ridiculously Small and YOU’RE READING THIS, AREN’T YOU?!?!
